Fish On! is a 33 foot Chris Craft that has all your fishing necessities. We named the boat after what it was made to do - Catch Fish! Or, as we say at Sea, "Fish On!" Here at Fisherman Jim's, it is our duty to make sure your trip is as enjoyable as possible. We have taken our passion for Great Lakes fishing and made it available to everyone. Don't worry if you have never fished, we have you covered! We have guests aboard all season ranging from beginners to Championship Fisherman and Fisherwoman! We offer half day and full day trips, or you could make it a weekend with two days of yelling "Fish On!" As a member of the Kenosha Charter Association, we have the ability to book you on up to 15 boats for large groups or corporate outings. As a full time salmon and trout charter, we fish 7 day a week and up to 2 trips daily. We are networked with over 30 Charter Captains that will get you shouting "Fish on!" in no time!
Spring brings an exciting time for Coho Salmon fishing in Kenosha, WI! It is not uncommon to catch our limits in the spring. So be ready to yell "Fish On!". Cohos are what most of my guests love to eat the most! It's a fan favorite! At the beginning of Coho Salmon Season we normally fish closer to shore. This is also the area that Brown Trout are caught the most. It's not uncommon for us catch a cooler full of Brown Trout.
THE SPRING TIME IS THE BEST TIME TO CATCH THE MOST FISH!
Summer time fishing on Lake Michigan is when Coho Salmon can be 4 to 5 times bigger then in the spring. In the summer of 2018, we caught some King Salmon (Chinook Salmon) in the 25 lbs to 35 lbs range. Steelhead Trout is a Rainbow Trout that has entered the Great Lakes. Steelheads are incredibly fun to catch as they jump, twist, and make the experience a lot of fun! They offer some reel action out there. Lake Trout can make for a great a summer day and fill your cooler. The Lake Trout, or as we call them "Lakers", can range from 3 lbs to, 25 lbs. We were fortunate enough to catch a few 25 lbs Lake Trout in the summer of 2018. Summer time action is all about size! You don't catch as many as in the spring, but your coolers weight will tell you different! This time of year we fish deeper, which means farther out at sea.
THE BEST TIME TO CATCH BIG FISH IS IN THE SUMMER!
Late Summer and early Fall is known around the Lake as "Trophy Time". This time of the year you catch fish that look great on the mantle at home! This season is all about the Big King Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and Steelhead Trout. This is a great time to come out and catch that fish of life time! Check out the picture to the left of Captain Jim holding a Lake Trout! This is what Trophy Time of the Year is all about! Come and join us this fall and catch your Trophy Fish!
